Botanical Cyanotypes

Brilliance in Blue

Ruth discovered her passion for cyanotype after learning about blueprints. Drawn to the eco-friendly process, which uses UV light and water, she began experimenting with different chemicals, materials, and exposure times. Ruth collects botanicals from her walks in rural Northamptonshire, preserving them to create unique, nature-inspired prints. Each cyanotype is one-of-a-kind, with its deep blue hues and natural details. Brilliance in Blue grew from Ruth’s love for this artistic process, blending her scientific curiosity with her appreciation for nature.
